Valeriu Kurtu Kurtu was born in 1956 in the town of Ungeny on the border of Moldova and Romania.
Since 1994 he lives and works in Berlin as a Cartoonist and Journalist.
In 2003 he founded the work shop gallery "KURTUKUNST" with his wife, a ceramic artist.
He is a member of FECO (Federation of Cartoonists Organisations).
Over the course of his life, the artist has so far been awarded more than a hundred prizes, medals and diplomas of international exhibitions, as well as contests of caricaturists in many countries.
Since 2010 he has been organized and leaded the "International Cartoon Competition Berlin".   Further information  
  Co-operation Partner   THE STORY OF BERLIN at the Kurfürstendamm is the interactive museum of the capital. Spread over 6.000 square meters visitors can explore 800 years of Berlin history. In 23 theme rooms – each of them designed individually and equipped with modern multimedia technology – everyone can experience everyday life of the people of Berlin during different eras. One highlight of the exhibition is a guided tour through an original nuclear bomb shelter from the Cold War below the Kurfürstendamm which still can be used by 3.600 persons in case of an emergency.
